Text Box: The National Committee on the Self-Development of People of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has approved grants for 13 self-help projects in the United States at a meeting on January 22.
The $269,930 in grants comes from the PC(USA)’s One Great Hour of Sharing offering. These grants enable members Text Box: and non-members of the PC(USA) to establish partnerships with economically poor, oppressed and disadvantaged people in order to help them achieve sufficiency.
Projects funded cover a wide range: a group of women who have formed a cooperative that produces and markets Text Box: kitchen!
I hope you will answer the call to assist during this special part of our Sunday’s together. Or better yet, don’t wait to be called! Sign up in the fellowship hall and get the Sunday most convenient for you!
If you need an alternative way to assist with Fellowship time, please consider baking or buying Text Box: Adair Hendrickson
Your Elders and Deacons rotate through the months to over see the Coffee Fellowship time each Sunday morning following worship. You may receive a call to assist your elder or deacon in serving coffee, and other beverages, along with those treats we all look forward to. Then the other fun begins, clearing off the tables and cleaning up the Text Box: those yummy treats we all appreciate. Please mark your container “Fellowship” so we know it’s available to use.

So, don’t forget to stop in the Fellowship Hall for a good cup of coffee (or other drink), grab a snack and say “Hi” to a visitor or a friend, share a moment or a story.

One Great Hour of Sharing Works at Home, Too

Barbara Duncan

Women of the Cloth Quilters are creating a Women of the Bible Quilt as our annual project. Quilters have been researching in our Bibles to find the woman each of us want to portray in fabric. Some of us are finding out it's not easy to choose just one.

Our Washington State quilts are being quilted and should be finished soon. They will be in the One Great Hour of Sharing Auction this year.

We have scheduled dates for making binding for American Hero Quilts, and for making Christmas Stockings.

We meet the first Saturday of the month, unless it's a holiday, 8:30am-3:30pm. All are welcome to stop in and see what creative projects we are making.

Please contact Barbara Duncan @ 206-412-4375 if you have any questions about our quilt group.
